Exploring Self Love and Compassion


Self love is more than pampering yourself with bubble baths and reading inspirational quotes; it is the ability to care for yourself the way you care about the people you love. Directing the energy of sincere self love inward helps us to grow physically, psychologically and spiritually. Having compassion for yourself is the first step in a journey towards becoming authentic. 


Here are some simple ideas that can help you become kinder and more compassionate with yourself.

Stay focused on what you need...this can help you to become aware of automatic behavior patterns that may not be in your best interest.


Set boundaries and protect yourself from people that are not supportive of you. It’s important to surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed.

Live with intention and purpose. Even if you are unclear about what your purpose is, trust that the decisions you make will support your intentions.


Stop being hard on yourself...everyone makes mistakes and learning to forgive yourself for past behaviour or decisions is a step in the right direction. If you learn and grow from your experiences, you will reap the benefits of the lessons learned.
